"Sidenote" is Joker Starr's impromptu but forceful response to the pandemic era — when officials told creatives to retrain, he assembled an organic batch of songs without a fixed blueprint instead. What began as a peripheral effort, a literal sidenote, evolved into a defining pillar of his catalog. Released October 3, 2025 on Boot Records, the album is available digitally (streaming plus high-quality MP3/FLAC downloads) and as a limited digipack CD capped at 50 copies worldwide.
The eight-track project showcases Starr's sharp lyricism across a soulful, hardcore hip-hop soundscape built by producers Micall Parknsun, OphQi, and Apollo, with Jazz T adding cuts on two tracks. Features come from Chima Anya, AnyWay Tha God, Micall Parknsun, Jazz T, Big Cakes, and Marv Won — with standout moments including "For the Legacy" and the title track "Sidenote" featuring Marv Won.
